Thinspo

"An anorexic person will make you stop dead in your tracks on the street. Do you know what I mean? There's nothing quite so shocking looking as an anorexic person, and I think the term 'anorexic' gets thrown about a lot when we're just talking about average skinny people. But, really, there's such a huge difference." - Jo Elvin, Glamour Magazine

Aleda

This post is dedicated to my good friend Aleda. I mention her in several of my "about me" sections on various sites, including this blog. I wanted to show everyone why she is such an inspiration to me. She started off at more than 310lbs and shrunk all the way down to 150lbs. Here are some before and after shots of her. She is a true motivator for me.

Before...

After...

You can reach your goals, Aleda. I have faith in you. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to. This is the final hurdle! You're going to reach your goals. This Halloween is going to be the best Halloween. [:

Q: "What site would you recommend?" - Anonymous
A: I've had the same trouble myself. It seems like any site that I find is either too extreme ("you need a BMI of at least this low to join,") or it's too sugar coated ("this is a healthy diet site!") If you're looking to make friends and socialize I'd suggest any of the sites that I have listed in my profile section to the side.

Q: "Can I please have some help on a diet plan?" - Anonymous
A: Try checking out the "diets" tab at the top of my blog. Pick anything that's appealing to you. With any diet that you choose, it's important to keep your calories low.

Q: "How do you fast and not feel icky?" - Anonymous
A: Make sure you're drinking a ton of water. If you need energy boosts, go for a tablespoon of honey. It's only 15 calories and it's so effective that athletes even do it right before they start playing.

Q: "How many calories should I have per day to get results?" - Anonymous
A: I don't know your gender, height, weight, or any other factors. Check out the "links" section at the top of my blog and feel free to try out any of the calorie intake calculators.

Comments, Thinspo

At the start of this blog I answered comments by addressing them in a post. Some people suggested that instead of doing that I should go to the commentator's blog and reply individually. That becomes difficult when some of my comments are anonymous. It's also easier for me to nab them all in one go within a single post. I figured that I would start answering them by posting once more. [:

Q: "Do you think of me as fat?" - Jo
A: I can't see you so it's hard for me to answer that question. A weight that I think is "fat" on my body may not be "fat" on yours. Regardless of what my answer might have been, please don't worry about what I think. What matters is that you're happy with who you are. My circumstances advocate that I do what I do to attain that. Yours may be different.

Q: "Am I speaking correctly?" - Skylines
A: Yes! You're doing a great job, especially for someone who is learning English as a second language. Thank you for your compliments.

Q: "Can I know what's your height?" - Rochelle
A: I'm around 5'7'' or 171cm. (It's a little known fact that I dislike my height. As far as I'm concerned, it's not little enough to be "short" and not tall enough to be "tall.")

Q: "Does a 100 calorie/80calorie diet for 1 or 2 months work?" - Anonymous
A: It sounds like it will work extremely well and give you quick results, but I think it's a little extreme. I wouldn't suggest sticking to 80 calories a day for 2 months. Try mixing in some higher calorie days.

Q: "I want to lose weight fast but I don't know how to start. Please help?" - Anonymous
A: Check out the "diets" tab at the top of my blog. Picking any of those is a great place to start.

Q: "In the fasting time have you done some exercise, aerobics or some running?" - Anonymous
A: I hardly exercise even when I'm not fasting. I do not do any extra exercise when I am fasting. I'm actually quite lazy by choice. My thought process is, "if I'm going to endure starvation then I'll lounge around and not make myself feel guilty about it." It motivates me to fast longer and gives me a sense of reward during the hardship.

Q: "Did you use any vitamins?" - L.A.
A: Yes, I take several different types daily. Here is a post about it, and here is another.

Q: "Why don't you update more often?" - Lena
A: I update when I feel inspired. Unfortunately I'm much more addicted to pen and paper, so a majority of my thoughts are scribbled away.

Q: "Are you from Sweden?" - Anonymous
A: No, nor have I ever been there. It's a coincidence that "gaunt visage" is a Swedish phrase, for it is also a valid word combination in English.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Here's some thinspiration to keep you going! The theme is... alternative fashion and costumes.

Kewick Diet, Thinspo, Goals

I added a new diet to the diet page. I gave this one a shot myself and it was pretty successful. If you want to try something that's short and sweet I'd suggest that you try it.

You may eat only 1,000 calories per day and they must be 90% fat. You may only drink water. This list is an example of very high fat foods.

Nuts / Seeds / Legumes: Macadamia, pecans, coconut, pine, walnuts, hazelnuts, sesame, sunflower, peanut.

Meat: Mackerel, duck, goose, fatty tuna, beef ribs, ground beef (70% lean / 30% fat), filet mignon, cured pork, dehydrated pork, bacon, ham, veal, beef jerky, egg yolks.

Sweets: dark chocolate (80% or higher.)

Condiments: Butter, heavy whipping cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, lard, vegetable oil, corn oil.

I want to hit my lowest weight by June so I'm trying to stay at 800 calories or less per day. It's a light amount of restriction that I think I can easily maintain for a few months. I found some wonderfully delicious Progresso soups that are only 60 calories per serving.

I was tagged as a versatile blogger by this lovely lady and I'm filling this out in response.

The Rules:
1. Thank the person who loved you enough to bestow this gift.
2. Share seven things about yourself.
3. Bestow this honor onto 10 newly discovered or followed bloggers – in no particular order – who are fantastic in some way. (Instead of choosing 10 people I would like to invite any fellow blogger who reads this to fill it out on their own.)
4. Drop by and let your ten new friends know you admire them.

ver·sa·tile
adj.
1. Capable of doing many things competently.
2. Having varied uses or serving many functions.
3. Variable or inconstant; changeable.

Seven Things About Me...

1: I am moving to Japan for work in the distant future.
2: My only legitimate fear is the plague.
3: I have a false Sprite can on my desk that I keep bullet casings in.

4: I dislike Disneyland (as a theme park - I don't find it to be fun or enjoyable.)
5: Maybe it's because I worked there as a character for nearly a year in high-school.
6: I am asexual.
7: I have never had a cigarette, intercourse, illegal drug, or alcoholic beverage in my life.

Here's some before and after thinspiration. I know I could use it!
